We go straight to the source of AI and emerging technologies: data. We leverage it to ensure technologies work in the public interest and for everyone. We work to improve and anticipate data governance and responsible data reuse in the context of data-driven AI systems, frontier AI, and other emerging technologies.
This programme goes hand-in-hand with our focus on the need for Data Stewards and data stewardship functions across all types of organisations and departments. It is also linked to our focus on ensuring that there is a social license and public mandate in decisions on how data is reused and governed in AI systems and other technologies.

We are busy engaging with stakeholders, participating in consultations in the EU as well as globally, and attending conferences and events to discuss what it means to govern and responsibly reuse data in the context of AI systems and emerging technologies.
